What is Alternative Dispute Resolution?
Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is an extrajudicial mechanism that aims to resolve disputes between consumers and companies, through the intervention of independent and impartial entities, such as arbitration, mediation or conciliation centers. These entities propose or impose solutions, or facilitate dialogue between the parties, with the aim of reaching an amicable solution to the dispute.
This process is low-cost, quick and simple, and is advantageous for both consumers and traders. It allows you to avoid legal proceedings and the costs and delays that come with them.
How to file a complaint via RAL?
If you wish to file a complaint, you can contact one of the competent alternative dispute resolution entities depending on your area of residence. The RAL entities are available to clarify doubts and support the entire process. Under the terms of article 18 of Law no. 144/2015, of September 8, we inform you that consumers can resort to the following entities:
